The Natural Republic is a great first step in the creation of a Quranist Sharia based solely on the Quran. I was surprised at how detailed the topics could get and also how ayat give such obvious instruction in various matters. When it comes to governance it is pretty detailed but when it comes to the spirituality of Islam it's a little vague on issues such as the salaat.This is a very important book. It's short and every page you read is filled with Quran. If all of this doesn't merit several read-throughs on my part then I don't know what does.
This book is good if you are looking for that new perspective on Islam. But it will leave you with questions and yearning for more. It is good at getting you to think on the matter but I would not take it as a solution for all times...
