The book seems highlyrushed. It has many mistakes, particularly in the answers/explanations. It is extremely comprehensive, but a little editing goes a long way-- particularly in making a company more reliable. Some mistakes can call into question the integrity of the entire book. However, I will say, for 37$, 2000 questions is very fair, and if you are weak in any particular section and require extra practice, then it is worth (especially if you're low on MCAT funds). The book does seem to cover all of the potential topic (perhaps to the point where it covers extraneous info-- but sometimes more is actually better). All in all, its OKAY, if you need practice in certain areas, and want tons of decent problems. Seriously-- to the editor, a little goes a long way.
Got the book to review. PROs: Is very comprehensive, has tons of good practice questions, including a section devoted just to graphical analysis and data interpretation, which is unique and so important for the exam.CONs: As others have noted, the rush to publish may have led to editing errors.While not nearly as egregious as some make it seem. The science is flawless as is their replication of the AAMC style, but little editing mistakes keep it from being 5 star for now.Overall, a singularly useful resource for MCAT students to use on the go and/or need lots of MCAT style practice problems.
The book is extremely comprehensive and helpful at times, but I found many mistakes in the questions, answer choices, and answer explanations. For example, some answer explanations just copied the question without providing any explanation, some answer choices are duplicated, and some answer choices do not even provide the right answer, although the explanation is correct for the right answer. If I were to begin studying again, I would invest a little more money into more reputable sources.
