The PowerScore LSAT Reading Comprehension Bible (PowerScore LSAT Bible) (PowerScore LSAT Bible Series)

The PowerScore LSAT Reading Comprehension Bible is the definitive guide to the Reading Comprehension section of the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT), featuring official LSAT passages and questions with complete explanations. This book will provide you with a powerful and comprehensive system for attacking any Reading Comprehension question that you may encounter on the LSAT. The concepts presented in this publication are representative of the techniques and approaches that have been tested in PowerScore's live LSAT preparation courses and have consistently been proven effective for countless students. In an effort to clearly explain the fundamental principles of the Reading Comprehension section, this book contains substantial discussions of how to deconstruct the passages, how to identify and attack the questions, and how to successfully avoid traps set by the test makers. In addition, the PowerScore LSAT Reading Comprehension Bible contains a variety of drills and exercises that supplement the discussion of techniques and question analysis. The drills help strengthen specific skills that are critical for LSAT excellence; for this reason they are as important as the LSAT questions. At the end of the book, you will find a complete quick-reference answer key to all of the problems. This includes chapter-by-chapter answer keys, and a unique reverse lookup feature that lists all of the included passages, sorted by the LSAT administration date and PrepTest number. We believe the use of official Reading Comprehension passages is essential to your success on the LSAT, and no LSAT passage in this book has been modified from its original form. By carefully studying and correctly applying the techniques employed in the PowerScore LSAT Reading Comprehension Bible, we are certain that you can increase your Reading Comprehension score.

Hands down the best study material for the LSAT. I self-studied with this over about 9 weeks and felt very well prepared going into the October 2015 LSAT. I feel that I bumped my previous score by around 10 points using the PS Bibles the second time around. Here are my 3 keys for efficient studying: 1.) Work through all Powerscore Bibles (LG, LR, RC), 2.) take as many prep tests as possible under times conditions (minimum of 10-15), and 3.) debrief each prep test by throughly reviewing all questions. LSATHacks.com has explanations to all of the prep test questions you miss. Follow this and you'll be on your way to a higher score!

I want to take a few minutes away from my graduate studies to give a brief but well-deserved critique regarding the PowerScore Reading Comp Bible. I am using all three PowerScore tomes for my LSAT review. I have the Logic Games, the Logical Reasoning and the Reading Comprehension Bibles on my Kindle. I started my LSAT review in November 2013 and will take my LSAT June 29th here in Manila, Philippines. All three books are better and more thorough than I expected. I have already completed each of the three Bibles from front to back. I will read them all three times and will have worked every example in all three. It is tough on top of the MBA I am currently working on full-time. But a solid score on the LSAT is my dream in 2014. A solid score for me is a 168 or in that ballpark. My cold score before I started was a 148. So I am feeling very well armed now with where my weak areas are (Logic Games) and know where to focus for maximum improvement. The only thing I have added was the purchase of the LSAT Exams numbered 162, 163, 164 and 165. I highly recommend practice exams weekly in addition to the three Bibles from PowerScore. God Bless & Good Luck :))) Eric - Strayer University

I really wish I would have followed the advice of others! If you have to Logic Reasoning Bible and the Logic Games Bible you really do not need this book. There are a couple of helpful chapters about diagramming passages and making notations but probably 75% of this book is a rehash of what is in the other two books. NO WAY should you spend full price for this book! If anything find it used but save yourself some money. The other reviewers are right on this.

I used the PowerScore bibles for all 3 sections of the LSAT + took the PowerScore class, and they are THE BEST. I read each bible from cover to cover, over a 3 month period. My score improved 21 points from my original baseline test. The tips and strategies are great on their own, but a OUTSTANDING compared to other companies' prep books.

Decided to go to law school and the next LSAT's were in a month. I only had four weeks to prepare and had been our of school for a 25 years. No test prep classes were available so I decided to try these books. After a few weeks my averages on the practice tests improved to over 160. If you decide to try these just be sure to review your wrong answers.

There is really nothing in the book that is super innovative or helpful. I think the diagramming technique tips are vague, and everything in this book you can find for free online (just google videos about LSAT RC annotation techniques and tips. This is definitely not worth the price, the money is better spent buying to "10 Actual LSAT..." books, and just practicing how to annotate/answer the questions. I think the two biggest take aways from this book is to underline when there is a shift in a point of view, to circle words that indicate tone, to identify the authors point of view, and to note the main purpose of each paragraph in each passage.

This is an excellent book to study out of if you are planning to attend law school. It gives you great explanation on how you can increase your LSAT score, and teach you the different concepts of main ideas, the main point or issue. Great book!

Be careful when ordering this. I ordered by the picture assuming it was the "2016" edition, but I received the 2015 edition. I don't think this will be a real big deal, but wanted to share.
