A great resource for studying for the MCAT! Offers online exams that mimic the actual test taking process of the MCAT. Overall, I highly recommend purchasing it if you want to raise your physical sciences MCAT score.
I own two books, biological & physical sciences. They are both excellent and valuable prep books for MCAT. Well written, I like that questions are a mix of different MCAT topics. They are grouped just like MCAT test with passages and independent questions. You must read the explanations because this is how you will learn the material.
Very effective prep book for MCAT. Make sure to spend enough time reading explanations. They are very good at explaining the topic and go though the answer choices and tell you why the answer is correct or wrong. Both books, biological & physical sciences, are valuable and make a good set. I guess you can buy them in one book and save $$, but I bought them separately.
These practice tests helped me prepare for the MCAT 2015. My biological/biochem foundations score is higher than I expected. I got a chance to practice my data analysis skills on the passages in these tests. This was very helpful during the test. It was the extra practice I did with this book that solidified my understanding and gave me the boost I needed on test day. I did the online format of these tests as well to get a scaled score on each practice test. The diagnostic report gave me insights that saved me time as I prepared for the test. My study partners and I found the explanations to be really helpful and clarified several concepts for us.
I have two of these books, physical and biological sciences, I was very pleased with the quality of the material, the format and the clarity of explanations. I feel like these books gave me a lot of information I was missing. My MCAT is in a few months and I think I will be returning to them again before then to refresh and reinforce what I learned from them.
Bought both Physical and Biological sciences books and they are excellent MCAT prep material! Very understandable format, easy to work with. Also did the online practice and know it was valuable.
Great supplementary tool for MCAT studying.
It's nice to have a few extra tests to gauge where you sit before the MCAT.
