This is a competent, detailed review book that covers the topics addressed by the exam and includes "gamesmanship" material. If you pay attention in your high school biology course, know how to study, and are satisfied with two practice exams, then this book should work just fine for you and my quibbles will not matter. Author Judene Wright deserves credit for the many positive aspects of the book.On the plus side: diagrams are uncluttered, Key Word lists are useful, the chatty style is not too obtrusive, the review is more detailed than that of some other prep books, and the text layout is nicely broken up by decent intervals of eye-relieving white space. However, as my review title indicates, I have a problem with the publisher's strategy of producing misleading multiple covers and editions that hide a shameless duplication of content. I'm not the only person who's been tricked into getting duplicate books. This does not serve students well. It's my reason for the two star rating. If your study strategy includes taking as many practice tests as possible, be careful with Princeton Review. You can check the 13-digit ISBN, but having a different one does NOT ensure you'll get a different text! There were at least two very different covers for the 2011-2012 version, both with identical content inside. The 2013-2014 edition (ISBN 978-0-307-94552-5), which I'm reviewing here, contains the very same practice tests that appeared in the 2011-2012 version (ISBN 978-0-375-42810-4). The two volumes have almost (but not exactly) the same text. I've not combed through every word, but I did find a new paragraph in the 2013-2014 edition on Page 5, entitled "A Couple of Words About Score Choice.
