I took Kaplan s course with this book and eventually not the best choice. In fact, the book is not well structured. I was really confused on what I was learning and also getting bored from the structure of this book. I scored 133 after the course and this book ( don t get me wrong I do not say that something did not work for me wont work for you). I ordered a set of flash cards to increase my LR section from power score and the next test I took a month later I scored 144. Today, I m still practicing scoring higher than 160 on prep exams with the LR bible which is much better structure for me and the reading comprehension bible from powerscore. They aren't boringly structure like the Kaplan book. They have drills and the book is more colorful as well than printed pages like Kaplan and they really structure it in a way that is more understandable. Although, the LG system of Kaplan works for me so far but I m gonna try to switch to powerscore to see if I can get something easier. The LG from Kaplan is not that bad at all and works fine for me getting 20 to 23 right all the time.In overall for me this book and the prep course( which I think is useless and you should be able to prep on your own if you are planning on going to law school) wasn't that great. I heard some good things about power score prep courses but unsure if that would fit everyone. In over all if you want to get ready for the Lsat there are no shortcuts but also chose a book that is well structure and interestingly made. If you don t the way the book is made you won t be able to enjoy to study and you won t be able to get anything out of it. By far Powerscore for me really score on how I increase. Love their LR techniques and classification. and their reading comprehension.
