This review was done by my husband who is very much into text books for fun. "Although the primary material of the book (the review of specific testing knowledge), the best part of the authors' work was the secondary material (the outside tips, strategies, and test-day preparation) that propels this book to a higher level amongst its peers. The review material covers every possible question type that could occur in a real LSAT, paints the roadmap of how to best survey and solve each question, and gives an example to boot. All knowledge sections are covered (Reading Comp, Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and the Writing Sample). As I said before, the best part was the material not specifically covering the exam, but the meta-information, as it were, about the exam. The authors take the time to cover the logistics of the exam, from registration dates to a test-day materials needed list and tips for preparation. The answers and explanations for all the sections were helpful in understanding the content covered previously. The solutions are in depth and cover not only why the answer was correct but also why each other answer was incorrect. The flow from section to section was seamless and aligned towards the test itself. First covering the study tips then the test-day information, both before the primary material, the authors displayed their emphasis on the secondary material. The layout of study, test, answers, success strategies and "secret keys", was organized to prepare students for the exam, demolish the students, and finally pick them back up and put them back together again.
