I bought the most recent addition for this book from the publisher that has explanations. I had a prior (used) version of the book from last year that did not have explanations and I'm glad that the updated version has explanations. Solid material. Really helped with my recent MCAT scores. Great source of MCAT chemistry practice problems. Great value and glad I got the updated version.

With MCAT prep, it is recommended to focus on practice rather than reviewing topics, so this book is necessary for my MCAT preparation – it offers a variety of questions that test different skills and the questions are organized into topic chapters.

I got my mcat scores recently and I thank this book. By using it in preparing for the new mcat, I revisted gen chem from college. I needed the refresher on the topics covered on the mcat because my college class didn't cover a few required topics listed on the aamc outline. This book was a great investment of money and time as I benefited immensely from the practice. Explanantions were great as I could understand the process to solve the problems. My gen chem score improved and now I have the mcat behind me with great results in the gen chem section which I was concerened about before practicing the material.

This is an excellent book to practice chemistry questions. I would suggest to anyone to do a review for the topic first and then use this book for practice. All the questions are broken down by MCAT gen chem topics and therefore it is convenient to do one topic at a time.

I would recommend this book to others. It was well written and I think the content helped me focus my MCAT chemistry studying. I also got the online part and I used that for testing to sort the questions by topics and by difficulty. But I could have used the book for both. Overall, a great study tool and I recommend it.

Doing the practice questions in this book helped me reinforce what I knew in chemistry and identify my weak areas, so I knew what to focus my time and attention on, going into the test. I am glad I used this book, as I actually acquired knowledge that I used on the MCAT.

Very happy with the book and the concepts it covers. Comprehensive coverage as stated by the AAMC outline. I needed a great source of practice questions because I exhausted all my other material. I should have started here. This did the trick!
