I was surprised to find myself enjoying this book. Of all things it's rather fun! More importantly, it seems to cut to the quick of how to prepare for the GRE. In particular this book sis valuable for its analysis of what GRE words are in vogue with those awful hipsters at ETS: They include recent words, as well as their "parade" of vocab that has filtered in and out over the decades.I like how it's structured and has sections taking different approaches to the vocabulary. I took the warm-up tests and then went straight to the section of word roots! I've generally liked etymology, and from that alone I picked up some very pleasing insights that I am sure will stick with me, even come the end of exam I utterly disgorge my skull of most words I will learn herein and promptly replace them with malt liquor.

Pre-ordered this item and I received it bent in half with a huge crease down the center of the cover and pages.
