Excellent book. Even though I am actually not majoring in anthropology (actually, as a requirement for natural science in Boston University), it is very detailed and has good connections to high-school biology as well. So far, I think it is very accessible for even the most biologically ready high school student, and it has very vivacious (lovely) pictures. In general, it is a championship-winning book, with excellent objectives clearly outlined in each chapter, and great review questions in the end.Bonus: it is worth reading the 5% of a (anything) is better than no like a (anything) at all. Thanks prof Hodges Simeon :-)

Do not buy if you're expecting a new version with a code in it that's needed to access certain features for a class. bought a new version because I was supposed to receive a code with it, but it has no code. Is this even a new version? I'm truely disappointed.

Well, if you like textbooks, I guess this is as good as the next. Textbooks are usually pretty dry, and this one is no exception, but the pictures are great, and there are a lot of charts. I'm only a few chapters in. I much prefer the Kindle version because you get to create XRay flashcards to test yourself on the terms in the book that you may need for your class and for tests.

Bought this book for school and I thought the information was interesting. There are some great photos in here as well!

The book is great, had no rips, no marking, which is great because most rentals have highlighted words, or underlined words that throw off my concentration. The book is not as thick as I thought, and it's not heavy, that's always a plus size.

Good

Be careful to not spill water on this book, the cover is very sensitive.

Surprisingly engaging for a textbook.
