A fantastic introduction to coloring mandalas. Large coloring area, good paper, and an intriguing variety of mandala patterns. Colored pencils or crayola colored pencils both worked great. This was my first mandala coloring book and I am enjoying hours of coloring.
Okay...to clarify; there are great books for anyone who loves coloring and has zero health issues as in; they can see clearly, they have no fine motor issues and plenty of patience. Bottom line I thought these would be good for my Mother who is 84. They are not...they are way too intricate. She has vision and fine motor skill issues. So I gave these to my friends when my Mom wasn't going to be able to handle them.Keep to the marketing acronym K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid) when it comes to the intended audience.Again..great for someone who has no cognitive nor visual issues.
This coloring book is my first to start coloring mandalas. For me, it really helps ease or take away stress and I am calmer, just ask my kids - lol. This Easy Mandalas is really for beginners like me but I love it. Its pages alternate between beginners, having bigger areas to color and more detailed drawings. Definitely after I finish the book, I'll purchase another.
a surprise gift for my 76 year old mother. As I remember her coloring with me a lot when I was young. And I'm always trying to expose her to things, using all areas of her brain. She loves it & is Very proud of her finished pages. I added a pack of "twist up" crayons. Choosing colors and applying uses a total different thought pattern, than puzzle books, and she has something lovely when its complete! this book has larger spaces for my mother, as compared to th book I chose for my 25 year old daughter! No creative drawing skills required here. The Best choice for the older mind. Happy customer.
I've seen complaints about this book being over simplistic. Some pages are, but the way I see it, it can be a nice change/break from my more detailed books. Another idea I have is that I may try to add my own detail to a couple of pages. Obviously great for beginners too.
Fun! I used to love to color as a child. This is a definite upgrade from those cheap coloring books. The mandalas are beautiful before the color is added. I find a great deal of my stress is relieved the moment I start to add color. I am looking forward to upgrading to more complicated mandalas.
I got this for my 6 year old. He likes coloring but does not like the kids coloring books with all the characters. I got him this after he saw my adult mandala coloring book. He really likes this and uses it often.
My son has always enjoyed watching me color mandalas. I saw this book and thought it would be perfect. It is he loves it. The designs are simple enough that a kid can get through them without taking too long. Hours of fun.
