This book exceeded my expectation. I would put it on my shelf amongst the best of Caribbean writers and poets. This book took me through emotional ups and downs, at times I felt euphoric and at some points I cried. I think this is also partly because of my familiarity to the life and times I share also coming from The Bahamas. I felt similar emotions while reading Rumi.I think this book will stay with us long after we are gone.
Lots of people say the love poetry but don't buy the books. If you are a person like that, I encourage you to let this wonderful new collection to break that pattern. This collection set my imagination free and took my spirit on an amazing journey. My highest praises to the author!
