Bought this book because it is a textbook I needed, and the book did not come with the cd or the access code which has been extremely frustrating. To purchase a separate access code now costs half of what the textbook costs.
I bought this course book for my fiancé for his school course he's taking. He is getting so much out of what he's reading and learning from it. Not only that, but he's telling me what he's learning, and I'm getting so much out of learning what's in it as well. I would recommend this book to all of my family and friends.
I was required to get this book for a class and did not want to pay full price. I actually found some of the things in the book to be quite useful. I got it here for about half the price of my university bookstore.
If you are serious about being a success in college this book is for you. More than a how to book, it reveals all mental blocks you have built over the years. Great book for everyone, looking to explore the inner soul!!!!!
The book is very helpful for the students. I am international student and the education system of the United States is different for me.By reading this book I learnt some concept of being successful student in the colleges of the United States. I suggest to read this book because it really helped me. It contains almost everything which helps to students to overcome the diffuculties at school.
I think every freshman should read this, required or not. It will help you in college as well as in life.
This book is well worth the price! I am using the book to help me study for a work-related exam and it has re-trained my study habits exponentially. I would suggest to anyone in college (or not in college) who may need a refresher course on how to study to purchase this book. Skip gives good advice and explains step by step how to get the most out of your study time. Don't think about it any longer-buy the book!
I purchased this book thinking it was new because that's what was adverstised. Even though I got the book for basically half of its cost, I'm disappointed in the shape it's in. It's not bent or anything but you can tell it was used. Especially by the yellowing of the pages and the musty smell it gives off. Only reason I'm complaining is cause I can't stand the smell of old books!
