25 Complex Text Passages To Meet The Common Core: Literature And Informational Texts: Grade 5

5th - 7th graders find the passages entertaining and quickly learn about the literary type with the thoughtful questions. It requires the students to specifically explain how they got their answers. I'll probably end up using every selection.

This book will help supplement the reading passages from the textbook. It is very user friendly. It is a good resource to own.

A great book for practicing comprehension of 1 page fiction and non-fiction passages. Lexile levels, text based questions, and numbered lines on each text passage allow for easy assessment and text references.

It is so difficult to purchase a book like this without seeing the content. However, I am so glad that I did. It is the perfect for critical thinking.

This book offers students and excellent source of test practice. The passages address Common Core very well. Definitely purchase this book!

It is a good resource, not outstanding. In my humble opinion, the texts could be more challenging. My gifted third graders are "somewhat" challenged.
