This had been talked about at several trainings in my district. I bought it and looked through it. It is well organized but not as practical day to day useful as I had hoped. I will pull it out when I need to write formal lesson plans for observations, but other than that I don't really use it.
After reading over it it seems like it will be very useful throughout the year as I make my lesson plans. I am not disappointed in this product so far. It is very clear and thorough.
Great book for new or experienced teachers as it was an experienced teacher who recommended it. There are pages to plan on and it keeps everything in easy to bite steps. If you are going to school to become a teacher get this now! I didn't have mine for half a year! My lessons were much more organized after I did
I have not started using this particular copy yet but I am very sure it will quickly become my best friend when I get to my new school. I learned of this series at a professional development training and used the high school version there. It breaks the standards down making them very easy to understand and utilize.
This is an amazing book! I am utilizing and tagging this more as a workbook and sharing with my colleagues.

I am an experienced teacher but this text was great to review over the summer as I am planning and revamping my lessons. The parts on what the teacher should do are great. I decided to focus in on some of the standards that are not as prevalent in my instruction, make sure I understand them better and set up a plan to teach them more effectively. This text helped me do that!
