This is a beautifully bound oversized book that is a part of the Artscroll series of the Talmud. This book specifically deals with Tractate Megillah of the Talmud. It is in Hebrew and has commentary and notations by ancient Rabbis in both Hebrew and English. It reads as a Hebrew book and not like an English book. This book, and the whole series, would be an excellent addition to the library of any serious scholar, especially for those who are Hebrew and Biblical scholars.
EXCELENT
The Artscroll Talmud is a good, but Orthodox" translation of the Aramaic and Hebrew original text. The Orthodox" slant sometimes gets in the way of the central meaning of the Talmud. To read the Babylonian Talmud in the original languages is an intellectual joy, but for the English only reader the Artscroll translation is a good substitute.
