Excelente Book!!
A different perspective on what hearing people think deaf people should think and feel. No one can understand deafness if they are hearing. The premise of the book is to attempt to view deafness not as a loss but a reality of how you gain another understanding if you do not hear. This is not new to the deaf world but it can be a twist to how hearing people understand deafness. This should be require reading for the hearing attempting to work with the deaf.
a crucial book for anyone who knows deaf people, has deaf or hard-of-hearing kids, is interested in Deaf culture and/or Deaf Studies, as well as for anyone who understands what it is to live in a diverse world and to contribute to that diversity
A great book!! High time we see this world from a "Deaf Gain" perspective..
