Again, can't go wrong with a Coleman Barks rendition of Rumi. This is particularly lovely Another exceptional body of work by Coleman Barks. The fact that there are 3 CD's also makes this an especially good value. Of course, the addition of music by the wonderful David Darling only further enhances the experience of this set which provides nearly 2hrs 40 minutes of listening pleasure. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Rumi's work and Barks' translations and readings.
I'm a fan to begin with so of course I love it. I would have preferred if it were entirely Rumi's own writings.
Coleman bring's to us today Rumi's thoughts and shares his own. Being present this moment. Loving ourselves. Doing what needs to be done in service to all. Teaching us the way to enlightenment. Just being here now in love. He is sincere in his presentation and the sound of his voice is mesmerizing.
This is another superb reading from Coleman Barks. I listen to it in the car on a stressful commute, and by thetime I arrive, I'm at peace. Highly recommend.
