I taught from this book last year in my "Communication and Critical Thinking" course. I would have used it again but it just had more concepts than I felt I could comfortably cover in a one semester course. This book is far better than, and not deserving of, the negative ratings offered by the two previous reviewers. My only criticism of the book is that too many concepts were covered superficially. It would be a better book if it covered fewer concepts in more depth.
