A very useful, helpful text. I felt like it very clearly explained the test, gave ample example questions, and provided many tips for solving problems to save time and minimize stress. I haven't seen its rival texts and therefore cannot compare them, but felt quite satisfied with this version. I didn't mark in it and now one of my siblings is using it to prepare for the exam.
Studied this for about a month before my ASVAB, I ended up with a 94 AFQT score.
The actual exam is slightly more difficult, but the prep is definitely HELPFUL!

Scored what I needed to get accepted into Army OCS! I used the book to study the parts of the ASVAB that mattered for my particular job.
I bought this for one of my students. It prepared her well for military entrance exams. She scored 50 plus. Well worth the money.
I bought it for my classroom. Students like to look at it and see what is on the ASVAB. Most are surprised to see the variety of questions.
Kaplan deserves a thumbs-down for its customer service. Its advertised online learning options did not even allow us to log in. Their toll free number is not staffed. An email I sent to their customer care at the end of March remains unanswered. Everything beyond the purchase of the book that Kaplan offered online was a sales pitch that in retrospect proofed to be a sham.
