I was in Beauty school 14 yrs ago and I let my license go... I bought this book and passed w/ flying colors! This is all you need!
I went to empire beauty school and we used "clic" textbooks and I always felt like it wasn't enough. After purchasing cosmetology items on they recommended this book for me and it worked like a charm. I reviewed each section and answered te questions then used the answer key to check my answers. I truly believe this book is the reason I passed.
This exam review is excellent. It's a great companion guide to have for anyone whose getting ready to take State Board exams for Cosmetology. Its helped me as a refresher course for retesting for the license I let lapse. Oops! I would recommend this for new graduates or anyone who wants to stay current on the basics of Cosmetology. Great to have in your personal library.
This is the study guide that should be standard issue with those schools that use the Milady text books. If you didn't get one in your kit, then don't bother buying this one. You would be better off ordering Salon Fundamentals Exam Prep Book.

I really enjoyed this item. It arrived quickly and in great condition. I was able to review each chapter and prepare for my 1200 hour test as well as my state board test in a breeze. This is a book of tests, and does not contain any reading material or practical exam assistance. There are tests for each of the chapters in the matching Milady Textbook. It was nice to test myself on the chapters and then review only what I got wrong before I took my big exams. I recommend this book to any cosmetology student. It is a bit pricey, but if you are enrolled in school, you can write it off on your taxes. Keep your receipt!
