I truly think all of these "Success Q & A" books are essential study tools for me and my nursing school family. All of us who had this book did exceptionally well on our first Mental Health Nursing exam last week!! The book is laid out very clearly and the rationales are explained in such a way that when you see a similar question on the exam, you understand why each answer is right and wrong.The only thing to watch out for is that 2 of my nursing school friends had gotten a book that was printed incorrectly with no Chapter 13 on Schizophrenia, which of course was on our first exam! I was able to let them borrow mine, but just make sure to check your book when you first receive it!
I just took the ANCC psych nurse certification exam and although I did pass I can honestly say that this book did not help in the least. The questions on the exam were nothing like the question a in this book. Review side effects/ lab normals of clorzaril and lithium and review how to address Asian and American Indian culture and you'll be more prepared for the exam than answering all the questions in this book.
I am in nursing school right now taking mental health, and this book has been a LIFESAVER. The chapters are set apart by disorders, and there are rationales for why or why not to choose a certain answer for every option.
This book is perfect for preparing for exams! Especially if your teacher uses NCLEX style questions. This book is organized in sections ,so it is easy to focus on topics relevant to being what is covered in your class and on exams. This book provides rationales for all of the answer choices so you can see what you did right and wrong. I do not know what I would do without his book. I will definitely be purchasing the other books in this series as a study aide for my classes. This book helps teach you how to apply concepts.
Literally delivered to my house within 18 hours of placing the order! Hoping it helps with nursing school this semester! I've purchased several of these success books and they have helped me study more than any other technique out there! I've recommended these to anyone and everyone! Worth it!
This book was essential to me for passing my psych class. The first test everyone bombed and I got a 96! The questions definitely prepared me for my tests and the HESI. I had another psych review book but this is the one I always came back to.
These book make you pass this class .im passing this class because of reviews And rationales plus this .this book helps with rationale and why it's wrong .this book makes you think and you will be happier .this class is hard .
I love the Success books!! They've been a great resource and I've seen questions on exams similar to the ones in the book. I like the rationale for the right option and why the others are wrong.
