I love how many different ways that they will use examples in, so no matter what you are likely to understand and comprehend all of the information in the practice quizzes. The quizzes are fantastic and you can just keep retaking them because you always have them in your book to reference to.You have all the right information in one spot, instead of having to search for multiple sources.
This is an outstanding book. I am sitting for the SPHR and I have the SHRM books for 2015. I wanted to make sure if there was anything else in 2016 that I didn't miss it. One of my colleagues recommended this book. It is so much shorter than the other SHRM books. I love how concise and easy to understand this is. I was thrilled when I saw the practice test at the end. It took me about 10 hours to read the book, but for me it is more of a refresher anyway. I am pleased with this purchase and I do think that this will help me pass the test. I am a consumer and purchased this product at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest opinion and feedback of this item.
I'm studying for my certification and found this book to be very helpful and similar to my other resources in terms of questions and content. The thing I liked most is that this is concise and easy to follow. If you are looking for a book to help you pass this is it.
I read the entire book in 4 hours, it's pretty simple to read and at the end of the book it has a pretty complete practice test. Don't use this as your main study guide, this is perfect for a review, but it's very condensed and not all the info is there. I used this book as a review one day prior my test and it worked!
I am a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR). I did not use this PHR exam guide to prep for the exam and I would not recommend it as your sole study resource for the exam. It provides a practice test and covers a lot of the key topics that may appear on the exam but only gives you a broad understanding of the concepts. The PHR exam forces you to take detailed information you know about a given topic and apply it to situations. In my opinion, the study guide will not provide enough information for someone to apply these concepts on the exam. However, it is a good resource to review information if you need to brush up on some things.I received this product at a discounted rate or for free in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. I have purchased many books by Trivium and i have never been disappointed. And this time is no different, Trivium seems to have a book for everything and they are so easy to read and even easier to follow along. I have read many study guides and they always seem to try and cram information into as little pages as possible and at the end of the book i always feel like i learned nothing from them. I was refreshed after reading this book because at the end i truly feel like i retained the information. The books are written in a way in which it is extremely easy to follow and its broken into easy to follow sections. I like how a practice test is included in all their books so you can test your knowledge when all is said and done. I have started reading this and so far think it is very informative and to the point. I like that it is only 100pages and very easy to read, It is divided into 6 sections which really help break up the content. I plan on reading this over a weeks period when I can fit it into my schedule. I like that it has a test at the end of the book to test your knowledge. If this is anything like the actual test, it should be a piece of cake after reading this book. I did receive this item at a discount, but these are my honest opinions.
