Hi, I run a CPA exam prep site and I would like to share my thoughts on the pros and cons of this latest 2012 Wiley CPA exam review book for AUD.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THIS BOOKIf you are a first-time candidate, you will appreciate the first 4 chapters which cover the basic of the exam such as what to expect on the exam day, how grading is done and a few tips on how to study and pass the CPA exam.Chapter 5 covers the main part of the book which is the review materials. It is divided into 8 modules, each with 10-30 pages long of study materials, followed by multiple choice questions as well as a simulation practice problem. Both MCQ and sims are provided with answers with explanations and sample answer respectively.There are also 3 appendices at the end which includes a sample AUD exam as well as some released questions and testlets from AICPA.PROS1. Well-Written. The book is generally well organized covering all the hottest topics on AUD, including planning of engagement, risk assessment, reporting, audit sampling, and auditing with technology.2. Great Value-For-Money. This is one of the most affordable CPA review materials you can find anywhere. The book is also updated on an annual basis -- no wonder it is the best-selling CPA review books on (by the way, get this here instead of bookstore or Wiley's website -- cheaper here)3. Competitors Are Using Wiley As Supplements. A few CPA exam review courses such as Roger CPA Review and Yaeger CPA Review use Wiley's books and CDs to complement their lectures.
