Thank you for thr great service- I recieved this in perfect condition, right on time.-I needed this book for a course in Natural Resource Economics, it is a great book for the student, professional, and anyone who needs a grasp on the concept of how, why and when natural resources should be harvested and/or preserved.
This is a great overview of economics for non-economics majors to gain a basic understanding of the conversation and contributions of that field to environmental studies and policy. They condense a great deal of content and real life examples into a relatively short book. But, because key economists' work is condensed and summarized, some of the flair and context of the original works are lost. So I would not recommend it for economics students.
The book is very well written and timely. Entertaining and understandable for economists and non-economists who are interested in natural resource management. Examples are current and relevant to our world today. It does skim over some important concepts that non-economists might miss without previous knowledge on the subject.
It's required for my course. Good examples to coincide with the information being presented. It would help to have basic knowledge of economics. The way authors present the information makes it easy to understand the concepts if you do not have an economics background
The book is in good condition as stated. There are a few chapters with markings from underlining and such, but it is a used book. It doesn't seem to be missing anything. Can't wait to use it in my Political Science class.
Good to have basic understanding on why markets fail. Looks at the externalization of environment into markets and what to do to internalize the markets and take costs into consideration while formulating environmental policies.
Comprehensive coverage of environmental and natural resource economics, along with real-world examples. Suitable for students w/o any economics background as well as economic majors.
Though the class for this book was required, it really helped to supplement the class. It explains clearly how economics works.
