The labels of "description" given above aren't appropriate for this anthology. Good scholarship and fine variety. With a PhD in English with my dissertation on Guinevere, I was impressed.
The Romance of Arthur was overall a well written and organized piece of text. The editors did a good job of translating the text for the readers.
I ordered this book for my English 200 class (Arthurian Literature). The book has an introduction to every story, and its written in plain English, instead of that confusing Shakespearian English.
